Oak Hungarian Spirit/Wine Barrel

These Hungarian oak, made in Italy barrels are the perfect addition to your own personal bar, thanks to the high quality and durable Hungarian oak build and the superior finish.

They provide your wines and spirits with distinctive characters: from the brown spice aroma, with subtle toasted aromatics.to the savory tannin's that respect fruit with mid palate depth. They are made ideally for light and medium-bodied wines (including Pinot Noir, Grenache, Tempranillo, Sangiovese, Shiraz and Chardonnay) but they are also great for your spirits.

Some parts might slightly differ from the pictures (knobs, bases, taps might look different)
Directions for use:

  • Insert the wooden spigot in its hole and make sure it is perfectly fixed;
  • fill about 2/5 of the barrel with hot water mixed with salt;
  • shake well so that the inside of the barrel is perfectly soaked. Let it rest for a couple of days and shake the barrel twice a day;
  • turn it upside down every 12 hours so both parts soak in the water evenly;
  • empty the barrel after a couple of days, rinse it well and let it dry;
  • pour some hot wine into the barrel and keep ikt always full for about 10 days;
  • finally, empty the barrel without rinsing and let it dry for a couple of days: now the barrel is ready to mature your wine/spirits!
